Tippy got to go fishing with her grandpa, my dad, this past weekend. She loves to watch him fish.

She was. She gets so excited when he catches one. I just wasn’t able to get a picture of that this trip.

He did catch some, but we don’t eat fish out of the pond – they usually taste strong if there isn’t a fresh stream flowing through. He did take some home to put in his pond to catch again later.

Choppy doesn’t go fishing with us – though she seems to enjoy the part where my dad puts the fish guts in the yard for the crows (they have acres of yard), and she can go roll in them.

Oh yeah! Rolling in guts is fun! (Says Tippy) She has not had the pleasure of fish guts, but has the occasional rabbit guts or any other stinky thing she finds.

Dad likes to walk around the pond and fish in different areas. Mom and I were sitting on the John Deere Gator, watching.

It’s so nice that spring is finally coming. This has been a long winter! That spot looks so scenic and relaxing. I imagine if I had a lawn chair and a pole, I’d nod off long before I ever caught a fish!
