WORDLESS WEDNESDAY: STOMACH BUG

Last night, for the first time since I’ve had Tippy, I threw up in front of her.  She was very concerned and came running over and leaned against my legs. I felt bad that I couldn’t console her, but that’s hard to do when your head is in a trash can.

I spent the night on the couch, since it’s easier to get up from quickly and is closer to the bathroom.  She kept an eye on me to make sure I was okay.  She’s a great little caregiver.

Are you okay, mom?

I have been able to keep some food down today, so hopefully it was only a 24 hour bug and I’ll be back to normal in a couple of days.

  1. I know this sounds stupid but I and I am so very sorry you are unwell but thankful that it is a bug and you will get better soon. Thankful because as soon as i read your words I thought that you had been caught by the skunk. That was the first thing that came into my mind. I am also glad that Tippy is looking after you. Get well soon..

    1. Hahaha. I really hate throwing up, but it just might be better than getting sprayed by the skunk. I have been able to eat some today, so I’m on the mend. One more day of rest and I think I’ll be back to normal. Thanks for the well wishes.

  2. Oh, dear! I had to read this over because I thought Tippy had gotten into the skunks and gotten sick. I hope you feel better, Vicky. I so love that dogs know something is not right. Tippy, you are a sweetheart.

    1. Thanks for the well wishes. I have been able to eat a little today and it stayed down, so I think I’ll be okay with another day of rest. It is great that dogs know when something is wrong and want to try to help. I guess that’s why they make such good service animals.

    1. Thank you. I am feeling much better today, even though the tummy has been rumbling something awful since I ate breakfast. LOL I think by tomorrow I’ll be back to my old self. I think it’s funny that Choppy wants nothing to do with sick people. Maybe she’s afraid she’ll catch something.

      1. It’s strange – usually, she is at my side, but the moment I show signs of sickness, she is gone. Funny enough, she picks on dogs who show weaknesses to her, so perhaps it has something to do with her personality.

And I’m glad to hear you’re so quickly on the mend!
