FIRST REAL SNOW OF THE SEASON

This morning we woke up to the first real snow of the season.  Since my driveway was slushy slick and the snow was still falling, I opted to stay at home today.  Tippy and I had a nice, relaxing morning.  She snoozed while I played on the computer and watched TV.

Snoozing on her bed – sort of.

She isn’t supposed to get in this chair, but I had noticed the last week or so that she had been. I decided to just go ahead and cover it up and “allow” her to use it.  It hasn’t been sat in as much as the couch and love seat, so the cushion is a lot firmer.  I think that is why she likes it.

This armrest is comfy.

This chair is a lot more comfortable than the loveseat.

This afternoon, we decided to go for a walk. This was a wet snow that laid on everything, making a beautiful, peaceful, winter wonderland.

This is my stab at taking an “artistic” picture.  The brown grass sticking up through the snow is pretty cool looking.

Tippy and I are wishing you a safe, fun, and adventurous week ahead.

  1. My dogs/cats always knew the furniture they were not to get on. So how come there are dog/cat hairs all over this?! I gave up. Tippy looks so comfortable. You’re a good mom, Vicky! 🙂

  2. Snow paints the world so beautifully, doesn’t it?
Tippy’s perseverance has paid off! Wren would love to adopt every soft piece of furniture. We’ve compromised on the sunspace couch (covered) and the large hassock (also covered). At least I can clean the covers!

    1. Things haven’t really calmed down any, but it does help that I am snowed in for 2 days. I am going to try to blog more consistently. It’ll probably be shorter posts, but I think that has been part of my problem in the past. I think I have to put everything in one post and never have the time to sit down and do it. LOL

  3. Here in the Arid Lands we don’t have snow. It gets very cold during winter, but it never snows. They do get flurries of snow in the Adelaide Hills from time to time but not up here The temperature for today in 38c with a predicted 40c for Christmas Day. These are the days when we go out very early in the morning before the ground heats up and very late at night, when the ground is cooler. At the moment we see some kangeroos, but we have had a fair bit of rain recently, so not so many.

    1. Just cold and not snow at all would be depressing – of course, only because that is what I am used to. It is really hot there, isn’t it. Hope you manage to stay cool and get in some good walks in the early and late cooler times of the day.
